Phinehas Eleazar (Jerusalem, Israel)

“And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand; …And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.” – (Numbers 25:10-11)

“For the Lord shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.” – (Isaiah 28:21)

“The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;  He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.  Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.  Thine heart shall meditate terror. Where is the scribe? where is the receiver? where is he that counted the towers?” – (Isaiah 33:14-18)

“That he that escapeth in that day shall come unto thee, to cause thee to hear it with thine ears?” – (Ezekiel 24:26)

  1. I am new. Im seeing a lot of confusion about whats what. Maybe others are too? Some things I read seem familiar and biblical to me from what I remember yet I can not see or find out who are the authors of the Last End Book of Remembrance is? One can not be too careful when reading things on the net. So much is on the net about this book and I follow the people leads hoping to learn more from the others associated yet do not find who the author is. The download pdf does not say at all (?) making the book load sound fishy. Can you verify this I only want to read the real book, not sure if this pdf is a counterfeit offered by dissenters or not, having no authors etc. I am seeing too possibilities. If written by the leader Mr Flurry or minister of PCG for PCG congregations wouldn’t they provide the credits etc for it or written by a dissenter of PCG against PCG church . It seems to be against PCG based on what others have said in either case? But Mr Armstrong and Mr Flurry’s photos are on the book. I’ve listened too, but info is vague. I have read where dissenters are against PCG for a long time. I want to read what is good for me not what they say is bad. So far I am not sure what I am reading or for who it is. Any clarification please?

    1. Hi Lou,
It is best that you pray and ask for God’s guidance regarding this BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE. Only God can lead you to the right path. The mere fact that it does not have an author will show any one in God’s Church that the focus will have to be on the MESSAGE and NOT ON THE MESSENGER.
That book is a physical witness that the ETERNAL HAS CHOSEN JERUSALEM yet the 25 PCG ministers chose another estate – they chose EDSTONE instead.
In the end everyone will know if the message contained therein came from a man or from God. Now everyone is searching for the scribe, little do they know that it has been prophesied:

“Thine heart shall meditate terror. Where is the scribe? where is the receiver? where is he that counted the towers?” (Isaiah 33:18)

      The scribe,

    2. I’m with you. One must be extremely careful of what they read on the Web. And of course if God’s True Church is in existence it will match up with His Word, not make excuses for why it doesn’t. That is why I tell people to READ YOUR BIBLE!!
I am extremely thankful for, The Living Church of God, The United Church of God, The Restored Church of God and The Philadelphia Church of God, also. But, God tells us to test everything to his Scriptures. And when that was handed down, “The Scriptures” at that time, was Torah! If it doesn’t match up with Torah it isn’t from God. Just because a group, sect or denomination doesn’t have everything right, doesn’t mean they don’t have anything right. Learn your Bible and you can’t be deceived. Let’s take… Say… Tithing! That’s a good one. Like I said, I owe a lot to the Churches of God. But, their teaching on tithing is a little bit off. Since one can not tithe, AS SET OUT IN THE TORAH. Because there is no temple or Levitical priesthood. It is just the way it is. PERIOD!! That’s not to say one can’t Honor the law and give 10% of their income to a ministry. We just can’t tithe of field, flock or herd.
Yet, all of the Churches of God teach obedience to this Law.
One thing I look for as a red flag is any ministries that assure you that they have it all figured out.
If they are not open to correction or consideration look elsewhere. The best ministry I have found for this is,”119 ministries ” they have been a major blessing.

  2. Thanks for the response. Agreed any focus should be on ‘the message’ yet I do not understand why any author, yourself I now assume (?) wouldn’t want to firmly stand behind their message. There seems to be a conflict of interest as or I am missing something. I see support for PCG and Mr Flurry, then disagreement and suggestion of a false ministry in PCG? Do you know if the Author is a member of the PCG? or are you in fact the author? Are you a PCG member?

    1. Hi Lou,
I am not the author of the BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE, God is. I am just a SCRIBE who encoded it.
Many of God’s people are quite at a lost and thinking as to why the book adheres to Mr. Armstrong and Mr. Flurry and yet it exposes the evil deeds of the 25 PCG ministers.
      This is indeed a very strange work as prophesied in Isaiah 28:21;
“For the Lord shall rise up as in mount Perazim,
he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon,
      that he may do his work, his strange work;
and bring to pass his act, his strange act.”

      The scribe,

    2. Lou is right in making that distinction. “The whole head is sick” and it is the “priests and prophets who lead my people astray”. Bible prophecy is clear: the Inner Court faces the worst of God’s wrath – and no quarter is given to those men. Whilst exposing the spiritually corrupt ministry in the PCG is poignant, it is still missing the bigger problem. HWA and GRF are WORSHIPED. In the end-time falling away, Diotrophies sits at the HEAD of the church and leads the church astray. You cannot escape the numerous prophecies in the OT and NT that condemn the leaders of the end-time church. Both HWA and GRF preach that Christ is attained through them. And, as shocking as it is to come to the realization of, are wrong on some of the most important bible doctrines.

When one is of the position that MOA is the perfect word of God, they are unreachable. There is no room for Christ to be their teacher as they prefer to feed from a man. Interpreting the dreams of HWA’s first wife is a dangerous and distracting game. God does not build his church on the obsession and love for HWA and all he said. This is the warning to the Philadelphia and Laodicean churches. There is no special exception to those two men – men who have been given and have taken upon themselves names and titles reserved for Christ.

Ask yourself, is there Truth without HWA?

  3. I understand the focus on the message and not on the man but God always named his prophets by name and occupation with all due respect what is your excuse

    1. It doesn’t matter what people might think or say about the name or occupation. What’s more mportant is that God’s message must be delivered and that He will be justified in the sight of all His people around the world.

  4. Hello D, this is why God called it a “STRANGE WORK” in Isaiah 28:21, Romans 9:28, But one must know that when Christ speaks (John 10:27) , His Sheep KNOWS HIS VOICE. Do not be afraid, pray and meditate and ask help from God and prove this just as the Bereans did. We have heard this line A LOT, Prove it for Your Self!

    A laymember of the PCG

  5. Hello D, you are right that God names His prophets by name and occupation. But he is just a scribe not a prophet. Thus the prophecy, “Thine heart shall meditate terror. Where is the scribe? where is the receiver? where is he that counted the towers?” (Isaiah 33:18).

  6. Hello, there. God does NOT always give names to his prophets. I remember a number of prophets were simply called “the man of God” in scripture. Remember the prophets in king Ahab’s day were hidden in caves in groups without being specifically identified. Remember that prophets are drafted into God’s service when there are problems in the priesthood (or ministry today), or the nation. .. And I, for one am grateful for it. Hope this helps.

  7. The Eternal Elohim wrote the Torah by Moses, and Joshua-Judges by an unnamed scribe or maybe several unnamed scribes, and the book of Malachi the Eternal wrote by one He simply called Malachi, which means My Messenger. It does not matter what the name of the mail carrier is. What matters is that he or she brings the right mail!

  8. In Matthew 17:11 the Lord Jesus Messiah said that Elijah shall surely first come and restore all things.

  9. Before he was called into the ministry, Mr. Armstrong’s wife had a dream in which she saw two sets of stars shinning and fading away. Mr. Armstrong in his Autobiography recognized his wife’s dream as an unrecognized call of God.

  10. Could the two groups of stars Mrs. Armstrong saw in her dream have been the W.C.O.G. and the P.C.O.G., in the Philadelphia and Laodicean eras?

  11. Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong was the end-time Elijah who restored all things. What does that mean? Does it mean that he restored essential doctrines to the Church of God that had become lost? Can the Elijah have been wrong in his understanding of prophecy? I ask this because your interpretation of the meaning of the four beasts of Daniel chapter four is widely different from his. He taught that the Lion like beast was Babylon and the Bear like beast was Persia and the four headed leopard was the four divisions of Alexander’s Greek kingdom and the terrible beast with ten horns was the Roman Empire and the little horn is the Roman Catholic Church. You teach that the lion like beast is John MacDonald and the bear is Alex Harrison and the four headed leopard is the the four regional heads of the P.C.O.G. in the U.S.A. and the terrible beast with ten horns is Stephen Flurry. Mr. Armstrong also taught that Russia is Gog and China is Magog, while you scoff at his teaching in this area. Can you explain your position in this please?

    1. Consider Revelation chapter 17 concerning the woman that sits upon a scarlet coloured beast

If the woman is the great false church (i.e., Catholic Church) in this prophecy wherein John even”saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus,” then it follows that in every resurrection of the so-called “Holy” Roman Empire under the influence of the papacy, there must be a martyrdom and a shedding of the blood of God’s saints in each of the resurrections.

Now here’s the question: During the period of time when Mussolini entered into a concordat with the papacy which officially proclaimed their rule as the resurrection of the Holy Roman Empire in 1935 and onwards into World War II even at the end of it in 1945, have we seen any account of persecution instigated by the pope toward God’s Church which resulted to the martyrdom and shedding of the blood of any member from God’s Church during the Philadelphia era?

The answer is NONE! But why is it so? Because the BEAST being discussed by the apostle John in Revelation 17 is NOT the Holy Roman Empire in Europe that will be led by Germany and influenced by the papacy as Brad Macdonald prophesies in his book, because the BEAST CAN BE FOUND INSIDE God’s own Church as the apostle Peter wrote in his epistle!

But there were FALSE PROPHETS also AMONG THE PEOPLE, even as there shall be FALSE TEACHERS AMONG YOU, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction… But these, as natural BRUTE BEASTS, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption (2 Peter 2:1, 12)

Read the clear explanation on this subject here:

    2. We still believe in Mr. Armstrong being the end-time Elijah who restored all things which was encapsulated in the 18 restored truths.
As for the understanding of Bible prophecy you have asked, “Can the Elijah have been wrong in his understanding of prophecy?”
Let me answer your question with a question, has the apostle Paul been wrong when he told the members at Corinth that they will not die but instead resurrected during their lifetime? (1 Corinthians 15:51-52)

“51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; WE shall not all sleep, but WE shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and WE shall be changed.”

What we are delivering right now is the PRESENT TRUTH. (2 Peter 1:12)

      1. It is not just Brad MacDonald today but it was also Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong who taught that the Seventh revival of the Holy Roman Empire directed by the Papacy would arise out of the Europeon Common Market and be led by Germany.

  12. If Stephen Flurry is the Beast that will rise out of the bottomless pit, then will he murder the two witnesses of Revelation? See Revelation 11:7.

    1. Present truth must build on past truth. Your teaching does not build on what Mr. Armstrong taught. It counterdicts it. And the Apostle Paul was not wrong in what he taught in I Corinthians 15:51-52. He was wrong in thinking that Christ would come back in his lifetime, but the basic teaching was correct. If you can not see that then you are Laodicean. And the elder brother in the Parable of the loving father in Luke 15:11-32 was not more spiritually mature. He was self righteous like the Scribes and Pharisees. The younger son when he returned meek and contrite in heart and trembling at God’s word was like the Publicans and sinners who drew near to Jesus and were received by Him. Both sons were prodigals. The younger went to the far country and found sin to be empty, and the older stayed home and thought he was better than he was. He accused his father and justified himself, just like the Pharisees did when they murmured against Jesus in Luke 15:1-3.

      1. Let me explain your concern with a parable uttered by Jesus Christ written in Luke chapter 5:

“And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old. (Luke 5:36)

A parable is actually a prophecy. This parable is actually discussing about God’s new revelation symbolized by the new garment and the old revelations pertaining to the old garment. This specific parable can be best explained with what the PCG had done to Mr. Armstrong’s book, the Mystery of the Ages. Stephen Flurry thought that since God has given his father new revealed truth which may seem to be not be agreeing with Mystery of the Ages, so they decided to make some changes to it – “then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.”

Look at what Stephen did to Mystery of the Ages:

        by Stephen Flurry

The sentence we removed from our 2003 version is found on page 245 of the older one, where it said, “No prophets are mentioned as having either administrative, executive or preaching functions in the New Testament Church.”

We removed that sentence from the 2003 version, not because we are doing away with Mr. Armstrong’s teachings, but because of what God has added to the Church since Mr. Armstrong died—the revealed truth that there is, in fact, a prophet guiding the Church today who also serves an administrative and executive position within the Church. God did not reveal this to Mr. Armstrong before he died, just as He didn’t reveal the specifics about the Laodicean rebellion—for obvious reasons…

Now we could have attempted to write another section to be included in Mystery of the Ages that would reflect this new revelation, but we felt it best to preserve the text as closely as possible to the original and simply strike that sentence and then let our other literature, like That Prophet, reflect the Church’s new teaching on the subject.
In fact, the next time we print Mystery of the Ages, we will also cut a parenthetical phrase found on page 350 —one that we overlooked last year.

        Source: October 21, 2004 Pastor General’s Report, pp. 3-4

The PCG should have just left the Mystery of the Ages alone being the old garment and should have just let the new garment, the book, That Prophet to explain the present truth God has given His Church. Read again the principle this time consider the NIV:

“He told them this parable: “No one tears a piece out of a new garment to patch an old one. Otherwise, they will have torn the new garment, and the patch from the new will not match the old.” (Luke 5:36)

This is further illustrated in the next parable given by Jesus Christ.

“And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.” (Luke 5:37)

What Stephen Flurry did was that, he put new wine into an old bottle or reflect the PCG’s teaching into Mystery of the Ages by making some changes to it. They should have just left alone the texts in that book to preserve it. And let their book, That Prophet to express the new revelations then.

“But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved. No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.” (Luke 5:38-39)

The new revelations given to the PCG were not desirable to the WCG and other COG groups. They said the old teachings of Mr. Herbert Armstrong is better so they don’t intend to drink of that new wine.

The same is true in this last end. The new wine or new revelations in the context of the Book of Remembrance given to us by God is not desirable also to the PCG. They think that the old revelations given to Mr. Gerald Flurry is better.

  13. The New wine of the New Testament was not desirable to most Jewish people. They preferred the old wine of the Old Testament. Trying to live by old covenant ceremonial laws in this new covenant era would be like putting new wine in old wine bottles.

  14. Unless they are Messianic Jews, they have no new wine since they reject the new covenant.so your analogy has no merit.
